Dr. Ehsan Dashtianeh, CEO of Saba Steel Persian Gulf, emphasized the need for well-structured long-term incentive policies to support the growth of high value-added advanced steel production in Iran.
During the 12th International SteelPrice Conference, he presented detailed analyses on global trends in stainless, specialty, and alloy steels, noting that stainless steel production is now outpacing other key metals such as aluminum and copper.
Dashtianeh stated that per capita stainless steel consumption serves as a clear indicator of economic development and directly correlates with income levels and national GDP.
Highlighting Iran’s domestic capacities, he identified electrical and advanced steel as high-return investment areas with both strong local demand and promising export potential.
He further underlined the need to expand research and development (R&D) centers and introduce tax and export incentives to stimulate production and innovation in advanced steel manufacturing.
