{"id":2107,"date":"2025-11-20T16:05:05","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T12:35:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bidestansteel.com\/?p=2107"},"modified":"2025-11-20T16:07:42","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T12:37:42","slug":"irans-iron-and-steel-exports-up-27-y-y-in-7-months-to-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bidestansteel.com\/en\/irans-iron-and-steel-exports-up-27-y-y-in-7-months-to-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s iron and steel exports up 27% y\/y in 7 months to October"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"desc\">\n<div class=\"_Desc\">Iran\u2019s exports of iron and steel rose significantly in the first seven months of the calendar year starting in late March 2025.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"body\">\n<p>Figures by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA), cited in a Monday report by the IRIB News, showed that Iran had earned $4.627 billion worth of revenues from steel and iron exports in the seven months to October 22, up 27% from the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Steel and iron exports from Iran rose by 43% year on year in April-October to reach 23.683 million metric tons (mt), the figures showed.<\/p>\n<p>The ISPA data showed that Iran\u2019s steel output grew by 3.2% to nearly 15 million mt over the same period, with September output accounting for 2.3 million mt of the total production.<\/p>\n<p>The figures showed that Iran had exported some 2.566 million mt worth $1.195 billion of finished steel products in the first seven months of the current calendar year, marking increases of 14% in volume and 7% in value and volume terms, respectively, from the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Mild steel exports from Iran rose by 40% in volume terms to 4.552 million mt in the seven months to late October as shipments generated $1.877 million worth of revenues, up 23% from the same period last year, the data showed.<\/p>\n<p>Mild steel or semi-finished steel refers to three types of steel ingots, known as billet, bloom, and slab, that are used to make finished steel products.<\/p>\n<p>ISPA figures showed Iran had exported 16.566 million mt of raw iron, including sponge iron, pellets, and concentrates, over the April-October period, up more than 50% year on year.<\/p>\n<p>The figures showed that raw iron exports had generated $1.554 billion worth of revenues for Iran in the first seven months of the current calendar year, up nearly 55% from the same period last year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran\u2019s exports of iron and steel rose significantly in the first seven months of the calendar year starting in late March 2025.
